Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Keyline (this website) to optimize a resume or cover letter or to generate a cover letter. By placing an order, you agree to them.

1. The service

We edit or write career documents based on the files and information you give us, using an AI model with human-designed instructions. Each order is a one-time purchase delivered by email as a PDF, together with a short report of the changes made.

2. Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate information, and upload only documents you have the right to use.
• Review the result before you use it. We instruct the AI never to invent experience, qualifications, or figures, but automated tools can make mistakes. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit to an employer.
• Don't use the service for anything unlawful or misleading, or to upload another person's documents without their permission.

3. No guarantee of outcomes

We aim to make your documents clearer and better matched to a posting. We can't guarantee interviews, job offers, or how any employer's applicant-tracking system will score your application.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown before checkout and charged once, in U.S. dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

5. Delivery

Documents are usually emailed within a few minutes of payment. If delivery is delayed, we'll keep trying automatically and contact you if there's a problem.

6. Refunds

• If we can't produce your document, for any reason, you get a full refund automatically, with no need to ask.
• If something is wrong with a delivered document, email us within 7 days with your order ID. We'll fix it or refund you.
• Refunds go back to your original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days.

7. Your content

You keep all rights to the documents you upload and to the documents we deliver to you. You give us permission to process your content only to fulfil your order. See the Privacy Policy for how it is handled and when it is deleted.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
